Rapid Reviews: We have 30secs to review 10 books
Welcome back to Rants and Reviews! We're super excited to be getting back into recording podcast episodes for you guys, and have a really fun season lined up! In today's episode, the first of season 4, we're taking 5 books each that we've read between seasons 3 and 4 and try to give you a synopsis and a review. There's a catch though; we only have 30 seconds per book. Get ready for some terrible plot-telling and a whole lot of hilarity.

Each episode of Rants and Reviews we share what we’re currently reading, so you can discover our favourite genes, add some books to your TBR pile, and hear us rave and rage about characters, plot, setting and more.Anjali is currently reading
- Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Sophie is currently reading
- Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
- Mythos by Stephen Fry
Main Feature
(08:00) Sophie kicks us off with her first review and does a very good job. It’s actually a re-read of Rainbow Rowell’s book, Fangirl.(16:45) Anjali is not good at this at all and tries to summarise and give her thoughts about a book that’s nearly 600 pages long. Which is no mean feat.
(25:10) We do a little googling to find out when a movie adaptation comes out, and while Anjali is concerned it’s not going to be like the books she grew up reading, she’s still looking forward to it.
(34:20) Sophie gives us a synopsis on Frankly in Love, and has mixed feelings about it.
(37:00) The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is Anjali’s last choice and it was a really good read! Her synopsis wasn’t great, but you get the main idea.
We end the episode talking about how difficult 30 seconds reviews are, and we probably won’t do it again because stress.
